Agape Community Dinner
Next: Wednesday, May 29, 6:00 - 7:00 PM
St. John's offers free community dinners on the last Wednesday of every month through the year. This dinner is free and open to everyone. Families and kids are welcome - there are card games and board games available for playing!
Agape is a word found throughout the New Testament, and it means "selfless, wholehearted love." Christian communities have met for agape meals for centuries as a way to be in community and share wholehearted love over food.
Bible Study - Thursdays, 12:00 to 1:30 PM
Bible Study meets every Thursday. Join us for lunch at 12 noon (please bring your own), and then we will look at the Bible from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. We just finished the Book of Acts this spring, and are currently studying the Book of Romans! There is no expectation of prior Biblical knowledge, and questions are encouraged!
Our last day of Bible Study will be June 13. We will have our book club over the summer - stay tuned!
Our last children's Sunday School for the 2018-2019 year will take place on Sunday, June 23 at our 10 o'clock worship. We will have a special celebration during coffee hour with sundaes!
The school is open for children from age 3 up through 5th grade, and it will take place during the first half of the Sunday worship service. Sunday School will take place once a month, on the third Sunday of the month. Since we discussed stories from the Old Testament last year, this year we'll be talking about stories from the New Testament! Click here for our welcome letter for Sunday School students and their parents for the school year. If you'd like to join our school program, please fill out this form and bring it with you to class.
