St. John’s is a close-knit community led by a group of devoted and caring volunteers and staff. Everyone brings his or her own gifts and talents to our parish, making St. John’s a friendly, supportive, and successful parish.

RECTOR

Rev. Donald Schranz

Father Don joined us in April of 2020 as our part-time priest. He came to us from the Diocese of Maryland, where he served as supply priest for Saint Mary's Episcopal Church in Abingdon.

PARISH ADMINISTRATOR

Anne E. Lewis

This part-time position includes running the church office, printing Sunday bulletins and carrying out related clerical activities. She also maintains our Facebook page and website, and heads up our tech for streaming our services and so on. She has been a member of St. John’s for over 25 years. Besides administrative duties, she is also involved in many other areas of the church such as choir, acolyte, altar guild and more.

MUSIC DIRECTOR/ORGANIST

Jonathon Mamora

Jonathan is a native of Southern California where he has performed and studied music much of his life. He has served as a pianist and organist at several churches throughout his life. His work in the church has helped shape his purpose for performing music: to uplift and positively influence others using music as a means for service. In 2019, he received his Master of Music in Piano at The Juilliard School, and he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music

VESTRY CO-WARDEN

Rick Ross

The warden works alongside the parish rector. Together, they share with their congregation the mission and vision of the parish and manage its operations as well. Wardens also help with the running of the church in the absence of a priest.
